In order to attract investors in the information technology (IT) sector in the state, the Odisha government is gearing up to organise a global IT conference at Bhubaneswar in January next year.
The conference aims at attracting investors in IT, electronic systems design and manufacturing (ESDM) and information technology enabled services (ITES) sectors.
The IT department of Odisha would be primary sponsor for the IT conference.
Since the government is in the process to complete the Info Valley project, the second IT park in Odisha being developed on 660 acres of land on the city’s outskirts, the government is looking forward to attracting implement the project.
The Info Valley project is estimated to generate direct and indirect employment for 600,000 people. The project is also slated to generate revenue of Rs 1,500 crore in the first three years.
