The much awaited Close Circuit Television (CCTV) surveillance project will be inaugurated in the city by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on February 5.In the first phase of the project, a total of 28 CCTV cameras would be installed at various strategic locations in the city.
While the CCTV surveillance is aimed at keeping an eye on disturbing elements during agitations, dharna and rallies for law and order management, it would also come handy in crime detection and prevention.
