Jharpada Durga Puja Committee known for its flamboyant decorations will create Maya Mahal, an imaginary palace, this year. Sixty artisans from West Bengal have been working for the last one month to create the 80 ft wide and 120 ft high gate. Besides, animated moral stories from ‘Panchatantra’ and other mythological episodes in lights will be the major attraction of the mandap. They are expecting 1 lakh visitors everyday during the puja.
