The PAGo Fest on 25-26 March is a stepping stone towards the aspiration of transforming Gopalpur into a Art Town and Eco-Retreat Hub of Odisha . Its Free and Open For All !
PAGo standing for Public Arts in Gopalpur aims to bring a panoramic view of the maritime and ecological history of the Gopalpur beach. A subtle reminder to the vibrant past, the festival will bring a burst of myriad colors showcasing the best of native art forms and exhibition of modern murals. Being an ambitious, all inclusive project that involves the local community as much as the international artists, PAGo will focus on the heritage and rich cultural traditions of Gopalpur and Ganjam and attempt to reinvent and re-present them in a contemporary idiom.
It is an initiative by Brahmapur Development Authority under “Eco Retreat On Sea” , Gopalpur’s holistic pilot tourism initiative project, building on the opportunities presented by the natural, wellness and cultural aspects while at the same time maximizing the site’s potential to promote sustainable tourism. The festival is curated by Bakul Foundation based in bhubaneswar.
