MHRD India has appointed Bibhuti Bhusan Biswal, professor of industrial design and dean (faculty welfare) at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela, as the new director of NIT Meghalaya. He headed the institute’s training and placement centre for over 12 years. He also headed the newly created industrial design department for four years and worked as dean (faculty welfare) for the past two years. He also headed the Centre for Technology Innovation and Industry Relation, which deals with entrepreneurship development.
