Around 500 delegates from across the country will attend a national conference on cancer here on November 8 to discuss various forms of the killer disease, rapid advances in methods of treatment and their practical application.
Experts from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai and other cancer centres in New Delhi, Hyderabad and Guwahati would attend the meet being organised by the department of Oncosurgery of Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) and SUM Hospital, Bhubaneswar.
“It is one of the unique conferences of its kind to be held inOdisha and benefit docors across various disciplines,” medical director of IMS and SUM Hospital D K Ray told reporters here.
The participants would discuss various problems indigenous to Odisha with local oncologists, he said adding a large number of doctors from different specialities are expected to take part in the conference.
