Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar is all set to organize its flagship half marathon ‘X-Athon ’16’ on 23rd of October, 2016 at 6:00 am from the XIMB campus. “X-Athon ’16” is a pre event to XIMB’s annual business and cultural festival “Xpressions 2016″. Aimed at inspiring people to lead healthier and more active lives along with raising awareness and funds for social causes, this one of a kind marathon is a great option to relax and unwind in a healthy way.
Last year, X-Athon tied up with CRY foundation (Child Rights and you), dedicated to uplift lives of thousands of children and provide education to them. This year again it is associated with CRY. All the proceeds from the event will be donated to them, thereby enabling many underprivileged children receive education for a better tomorrow. “When you finish, They start” being the motto ,each footstep that the participants will take in marathon will help empower an impoverished child to take a step further in his education, enabling him/her to become a skilled Indian citizen.
There are three packages that can be availed. The Corporate package includes a medical kit, a T-shirt and a cap and has a registration fee of only Rs.500. In Open package, a T-shirt and a cap will be provided with a registration fee of only Rs.300, whereas the Fun Run, which includes a cap, can be opted for with a registration fee of Rs.100.
The champions of the marathon will bag prizes worth Rs. 20,000, the female winner will be awarded prizes worth Rs. 10,000. The Runner Up will be given rewards worth Rs. 10,000.
