A Computer Science final year student of the Engineering Department of the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela (NITR) has set a new record by bagging a job package of Rs 41 lakh per annum through campus placement.
Besides the individual achievement of Asmita Chihnara, the NITR also set a new record in placement this year with 1,000 students getting jobs against earlier 700 to 800 only. Besides, 43 PhD students also got placements.
According to an NITR release, Asmita received the coveted offer of Rs 40.63 lakh from the Adobe System India Pvt Ltd. Asmita, a native of Cuttack, is residing at Bhubaneswar along with her parents.
She had her schooling at a Saraswasti Sishu Mandir, Bhubaneswar and Plus Two Science from the Rama Devi Women’s College.
