An IoT project conceptualised at IIT Bhubaneswar that tracks the consumption pattern of LPG has emerged as the winner of the Grand India IoT Innovation Challenge.
The first winner Prajjawala from IIT Bhubaneswar designed an IoT-based solution to measure, track, transmit, store and analyse consumers’ LPG consumption. Prajjawala received a cash prize of Rs 5 lacs.
The challenge was organised by Tata Communications, itself an IoT solutions provider and industry association CII. The four month long contest carrying a theme on ‘Solutions that create a better society’ witnessed 757 applications.
