In the fiercely fought episode 6 of the India’s first news quiz show, the News Wiz, aired at 11am on Sunday , Sai International School from Bhubaneswar entered the next stage with a hard earned victory.
Vasant Valley School of New Delhi, Sai International School from Bhubaneswar and Jaipur’s Cambridge Court High School battled it out in the popular quiz show hosted by veteran newsman Rajdeep Sardesai on India Today Television.
Footballer turned politician Bhaichung Bhutia and India Today Television anchor Devina Gupta graced the show as special guests.
In the first warm-up round, Sai International and Vasant Valley tied at top with 400 points each and Cambridge Court trailed with 300 points.
At the end of the second round that was based on top news stories of the week, while Sai International was still leading with 700 points, Vasant Valley was not far behind with 600 points and Cambridge Court School had added only 100 points to their round first score.
The round three called match time, saw Sai International School still leading the race with 1050 points, Vasant Valley in the second position with 950 points and Cambridge Court still trailing with 750 points.
In the fourth and final round called news buzz, where one could win or lose 500 points, Cambridge Court High School fought back and caught up with Vasant Valley School with 1050 points. However, Sai International School from Bhubaneswar emerged victorious with 1150 points in the fiercely fought episode 6 of the news quiz show.
