Odisha-based Milk Mantra is India’s first agrifood startup. Its product portfolio comprises milk, butter milk, curd and milk drinks. The company that was launched in 2011 has a network of 35,000 farmers from whom it collects pure milk. Srikumar Misra, founder and CEO, Milk Mantra, explains to Ritwik Mukherjee how the company is gearing up to reach a Rs 200 crore turnover mark by 2016, and grow from there to tap the $40 billion dairy business in India.
