The hospital is a joint project of the Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Royal and the Rotary Club of Singapore while Rotary Foundation, which has provided machineries and equipments under its Global Grant. It will have a full-fledged OPD and well-equipped OTs.
The hospital has set a target to conduct 3,000 IOL surgeries annually. Facilities like one-day free accommodation for cataract and other eye surgery-requiring patients, free checkup and surgery for BPL card holders and free surgery for patients covered under State Government sponsored health insurance scheme and RSBY would be available in the hospital.
