The open air gymnasiums will have basic equipment such as fitness bikes, air walkers, sit-up benches, double-back stretcher, waist and shoulder twisters, chest press, leg raise, leg stretcher and leg press. Buddha Jayanti Park at Niladri Vihar will get the first centre. It is likely to open on BDA Day on September 1.
BDA is planning to open gymnasiums in 10 parks at a cost of around Rs 1 crore and the horticulture wing of the authority will implement them.
