To check large-scale absenteeism of officials, the Koraput district administration has introduced biometric attendance in all 14 block offices of the district from September 1.
It works on the basis of the fingerprints of employees whose names are registered in the database. The employee has to touch his or her finger on the finger scanner machine, which will match it with the name from the database and register presence.
