From Monday, people need not run around the regional transport offices (RTOs) across Odisha to get learner’s licence (LL), vehicle fitness certificate and goods carriage permit. They can download the three kinds of original documents from www.parivahan.gov.in, a website of the ministry of road transport and highways.
“We will no longer ask the applicants to visit the RTOs to collect the LL, fitness certificate and goods carriage permit from Monday. They can download the documents at their places of convenience. These documents contain QR (quick response) code, which can be scanned and verified on thewww.parivahan.gov.in,” state transport commissioner Sanjeeb Panda told TOI.
Though the applicants have been applying for the licence online, they were required to visit the RTOs to collect their LL.
