Union government today approved four-laning of six highways, spread across five states, including Odisha, having a total length of 712 km at a cost of Rs 12, 646 crore.
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved four-laning of these projects.
In Odisha, Baharagora-Singhara stretch on NH-6 would be developed into four-lanes for Rs 1,283 crore.
