Odisha government plans to formulate a policy for providing subsidised rental to the startup units in IT space to enhance competitiveness of the new age entrepreneurs.
“In order to make it competitive to work from Bhubaneswar, we are working on a policy to give subsidised rental space to IT entrepreneurs”, said PK Jena , principal secretary, state Electronics and IT department at the ‘ Start UP- Let’s Grow’- an interactive session with the Government Dignitaries organised by TiE, Bhubaneswar chapter.
Jena said, the setting up of incubation centre for the ESDM (Electronic System Design and Manufacturing) sector is likely to be cleared by the Union government soon. The centre will be second one in the country after the one established at Delhi University.
About 0.45 to 0.5 million square feet space is available for entrepreneurs where they can start operations without hassles, he added.
