As part of Joy of Giving Week, the Bhubaneswar Auto-rickshaw Mahasangha took 59 poor and elderly women on a tour of different temples here on Monday.
Some other initiatives like ‘buy one give one’, ‘gift an apple’ and ‘a night under the stars’ have also been taken up by volunteers this year. The volunteers have been convincing customers at different shopping malls and retail outlets to donate food items, including cereals, biscuits, noodles and baby food for orphanages under the ‘buy one gift one’ initiative.
