JM Memorial Scholarship: A little more information about the objectives:

•Create a pool of USA PhD holders from Odisha, so that it impacts the higher education directly or indirectly.

•Target the post graduates from non-professional courses in the following disciplines:
Economics, Public Administration, Industrial Psychology, Psychology, Commerce, Mathematics or Statistics. We will expand the disciplines as the program expands. We are encouraging them to do PhD in Business in USA, as placements for Business PhDs are higher.
•Help the students from Odisha Universities with minimal awareness about USA PhD program and opportunities later. Sponsor the needy students for GMAT/GRE coaching, GMAT/GRE exam fee, TOEFL fees, Application fee for 3 Universities, and guidance throughout the process till they get admission into some University with full scholarship.

•This is a philanthropic activity to give something back to our state. Odisha needs people in education who can contribute to grow next generation and state in general.

•Currently it’s funded by Dr. Partha S Mohapatra only. We hope to pull in funds within our network when we see momentum and interest.

Dr. Partha Mohapatra completed his PhD in business administration from the University of Kentucky, USA.  His academic experiences includes teaching at University of Kentucky, Morgan State University,  University of Maryland-University College, and Zayed University(Dubai).  Prior to academics, he worked with PwC in India, (after completion of his MBA from XIMB).
