Hosts Punjab Postal Circle lost to Odisha Postal Circle 1-4 in a league match of Pool A on the third day of the 29th All-India Postal Hockey Tournament . In Pool B, Karnataka beat Madhya Pradesh 5-1.Earlier in the first match of the day, defending champion Odisha took lead in the fifth minute of the match when BP Batasala converted a penalty corner into a goal. M Lakra doubled the lead in the 24th minute. A Lakra converted another penalty corner into a goal just a minute before the half time, taking the score to 3-0.In the second half, GD Bangra of Odisha scored the fourth goal in the 33rd minute. Punjab showed some resistance as Satinder Singh hit the board in 43th minute of match to make it 4-1.
