Goa were defeated 1-2 by a strong Odisha side in their second match of the quarter finals league in the Junior National Football Championship for Girls U-18. Odisha, which has 10 India international players, started to take control of the proceedings with a strong midfield play by Laxmi Munda, Arati Sethi and Anima Malik.Goa were unable to get past Odisha’s defence comprising Eva Panna, Janaki Murmu, Jabamani Tudu and Goalkeeper Sanjukta Tirkey, as they did not give any chance to Goan Velanie Fernandes to make moves. Odisha now move to the semis while Goa bow out of the league.
