A bhubaneswar based NGO has started a unique cycle sharing initiative ‘Parikrama’ for healthy lifestyle and curbing pollution. The initiative is being introduced by NGO Jai Odisha in association with the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) in order to decongest the roads.Cycles will be availble at the following petrol pumps in Bhubaneswar – Goutam Filling Station in Lewis Road, Trupti Service Station in Sahid Nagar, Bhamra Filling Station at CRP Square, Nipur Service Station in Patia, Company owned outlet in Keshari Nagar and Company owned outlet at Raj Bhawan Square.
You can get a cycle for a day from the IOCL retail outlets by submitting a valid government identity proof and a refundable amount of Rs 100. No charges would be levied for the first six hours of ride. However, a nominal charge of Rs 50 would be imposed for usage beyond six hours. This has been put in place to ensure cycle availability at the stations at all times.
