The Nandankanan zoo has introduced a system through which tickets can be booked online, a move that will cut down on the amount of time visitors have to spend standing in long queues to buy entry tickets.
Debit and credit cards too will be accepted at the counters in an attempt to facilitate entry in the post-demonetisation environment. As many as 30,000 daily visitors throng to the famous open zoo every day.
Tickets booked online will cost visitors Rs 2 extra. “The entry ticket per person is Rs 25 now, but people will have to pay Rs 27 for getting the tickets booked through the e-route,” a source at the zoo said.
